Tiffany Haddish to Play Olympic Great Florence Griffith Joyner

The Award-Winning Actress Is Gearing Up To Play The Fastest Woman In The World

Grammy  Award and Emmy Award winning actress, Tiffany Haddish is preparing to take on the story of Olympic medalist Florence Griffith Joyner, known as “Flo-Jo” to her fans.

The late Olympic star was known and loved for her athleticism as well as her trendy style.  Flo-Jo brought style and flair to track and field with long, beautifully manicured nails and stylish runner suits — she originated the  one-legger suit!   Many of the records that Joyner set in the 1988 Olympics have yet to be broken.  She still holds the record as the fastest woman in the world!  Sadly, on September 21, 1998, Griffith-Joyner died unexpectedly in her sleep as a result of a severe epileptic seizure.

Tiffany Haddish will not only star in the movie, but she will be joined by Game1 Co-CEO’s Basil Iwanyk and Greg Economou as producers of the film.

“I am looking forward to telling Flo-Jo’s story the way it should be told. My goal with this film is making sure that younger generations know that my ‘she-ro’ Flo-Jo, the fastest woman in the world to this day, existed.” – Tiffany Haddish

Flo-Jo’s widow and former coach, Al Joyner will serve as a producer and creative consultant on the project, and he is already gushing about Tiffany‘s commitment to the project stating:  “I am so elated to team up with Game1 and Tiffany Haddish on this project. Working with Tiffany has been a great pleasureshe is incredibly dedicated, focused, and committed to portraying the spirit of Florence accurately, whose legacy of making a difference in the world will live on for generations to come. I hope that this film touches all who see it and inspires people to BE the change the world so desperately needs right now!”

Haddish will be teaming up with Game1 on other projects including a documenary series and podcast.
