La’Porsha Renae Releases ‘The Odessy of Love’ Album Series
The Former American Idol Contestant Opens Up In New Music
La’Porsha Renae’s voice commands attention! The powerhouse vocalist and songwriter who the world would get to meet on the 15th season of FOX‘s American Idol, hails from McComb, Mississippi (birthplace of R&B icon, Brandy Norwood).
Renae was announced as the runner-up on the show, behind winner, Trent Harmon. She would go on to sign a record deal with Big Machine and Motown Records. Her debut studio album, Already All Ready was released on March 31, 2017, and included her hit debut single, “Good Woman“.
The remix for another single from the album entitled, “Battles,” called the Gold Medal Mix became the official song for the United States Women’s Gymnastic Team for the 2016 Summer Olympics! Since that time, La’Porsha has been out of the spotlight raising her daughter. However, she returned earlier this year with the release of a four-album series entitled, The Odessy of Love. The series includes album #1 Battle Bayou, Dead Read Sea, The Covenant Cove and Sea’s Spring.
On the music within the album series, released via Man of Yah Productions, La’Porsha Renae passionately sings of her personal and professional struggles, as well as her unrelenting faith and her will to push forward no matter the obstacles. The album series, The Odessy of Love is now available via all digital streaming platforms.
