R&B Singer Kayla Tiffany Talks New EP ‘Personal Space’

The daughter of an R&B legend proves that she has what it takes to shine on her own

KAYLA TIFFANY has been around music since coming into the world. Her Dad is none other than Joel “JoJo” Hailey — one fourth of one of the most celebrated R&B groups ever (Jodeci); and one half of R&B duo K-Ci & JoJoKayla‘s dad took his daughter under his musical wing at at young age; encouraging her to practice to perfect her gift.  The father and daughter duo would sing together around the house,  where JoJo realized his daughter indeed had a natural talent to sing.

Not surprising, Kayla Tiffany has decided to follow in her famous father’s footsteps and pursue a career as a recording artist.   The pretty singer released a single earlier this year via JoJo‘s  JT Entertainment new record label titled,  “Therapy”.  The song explores the good times as well as challenges couples face in relationships.

” ‘Therapy’ basically sums up the ugly part of a relationship that nobody likes to talk about but we all know it’s present.”

Born in NYC, Kayla grew up in Charlotte, NC.  Inspired by artists including Aaliyah, Brandy and her favorite, Chris Brown, Kayla‘s style is a nod to classic 90’s R&B; yet still new and fresh. Her vocal skill is undeniable!  Kayla took time to chat with AMN Magazine to talk about her new EP ‘Personal Space,’ lesson she’s learned from her dad and more!
