R&B Legend Ralph Tresvant Is Back With a Hot New Solo Single

The lead singer of iconic R&B group New Edition talks reason for long hiatus and forthcoming new album

It has been a while since R&B  heartthrob Ralph Tresvant has blessed us with new solo music; but the wait is officially over!  The music legend is back with a hot new single, and a new solo album is in the works!

Ralph started his career  when he performed at a talent show in the Roxbury section of Boston with his junior high school friends Bobby Brown, Rickey Bell, and Michael Bivens.  Their performance at that talent show would later lead to them adding Ronnie DeVoe to the group and forming one of the most celebrated male R&B groups in the world, New Edition!

Eventually R&B crooner, Johnny Gill would join the group after Bobby started a solo career.   Ralph and Johnny would not only become bandmates, but best friends.  The guys have worked together apart from New Edition where Ralph was featured on Johnny‘s hit single, “Perfect.”  So, it’s no surprise that the guys decided to stick to the hit-making formula where Johnny is now featured on Ralph‘s new single, “All Mine.”

” ‘All Mine’ to me is a statement record. It’s a grown folks record that says good R&B music executed properly always has a place in the music industry. It also shows that addressing the subject of love never gets old!”

Ralph‘s self-titled solo debut album released in 1990 sold over 2 millions copies and spawned the hit single “Sensitivity“. His album, It’s Going Down followed in 1992 that included tracks, “Who’s The Mack” and “When I Need Somebody.”  Tresvant‘s last solo album was 2006’s RizzWaFaire

All Mine” was produced by Gregg Pagani and written by Francesca Francci Richard, Jeffrey Brent Anderson, Sean Tsai and Gregg Pagani. The beautifully performed duet is available on all streaming and download platforms now, via the SRG ILS/UMG label imprint.

The handsome icon chatted with AMN Magazine about the reason for his 14-year hiatus, the upcoming new album and more!
